OUR STORY
Hoot Owl Films was founded by director Will Carter—who started making movies as a teenager in his grandfather’s workshop in Tennessee and never lost the urge to get behind the camera.
After more than a decade working in television and media, Will returned to filmmaking through community-driven challenges, collaborations, and a growing network of filmmakers in Springfield and Kansas City. What started as a creative spark quickly became something bigger.
